Welcome to Bellydance with Maggie Rose!

Bellingham is home to a rich and diverse bellydance community, with teachers and performers of a variety of philosophies and backgrounds. Each and every teacher and performer has something unique to offer her students and the community. I encourage you to attend our local performances, check out our course offerings, and see for yourself why our local scene puts the “belly” in Bellingham!

I believe everyone can learn to bellydance, no matter your age, shape, size, dance background (including no dance), or learning style. Whatever your personal dance goals may be – to increase your physical fitness, learn a new style of dance, meet new friends, or just to have fun – I am committed to making your experience in my classes positive, safe, and empowering.

PLEASE NOTE:

I am currently on a hiatus from teaching, but there are several other teachers in the Bellingham-Ferndale area that I highly recommend:

Nancy Sarna, who teaches bellydance drills at Unique Technique Dance Studio, http://www.uniquetechniquedance.com/
Katy Houseman, who teaches tribal fusion style at La Vida Dance Studio, http://lavidadancestudio.com/
Alyssa Springs, who teaches American cabaret style at Flow Motion, http://www.moveinflowmotion.com/
Cara Cressell, who teaches American Tribal Style at La Vida Dance Studio, http://lavidadancestudio.com/
Sonja Hinz, who teaches Persian and Tajik dance at La Vida Dance Studio, http://lavidadancestudio.com/
